Regeneration is a rising paradigm, beyond sustainability. As author and leadership expert Giles Hutchins writes in his book Future Fit, it is business “in service of life.”

The Regenerative Alliance has been founded in 2020 in a response to a rising need for a network to grow knowledge, best practices and support mechanisms in guiding business leaders and companies in becoming more 'regenerative'.
The initiative supports the shift to a Regenerative Economy, by empowering forward-thinking business leaders with the inspiration, tools, network and support needed in their journey to becoming Regenerative Leaders.

Within 2 years-time,  The Regenerative Alliance grew into a global community of allies, offering a great variety of programs and formats to learn and grow to become leaders of a regenerative economy.

I joined the Regenerative Alliance in August 2021, and took responsibility for designing and coordinating their overall community strategy (Operations, Member Journey, Online Platform, Event Experiences, Partnerships).

A report by Wunderman & Thomspon, Regeneration Rising (2021), provides some beautiful insights into the rising paradigm of regeneration, and the opportunity that lies with businesses embracing it.
People have an appetite for change—and they’re looking for brands to lead the way. In fact, 70% of people are prepared to make dramatic changes to their lifestyle if it will help protect the planet.

By embedding regeneration into their business, brands have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, build long-term resilience, tap into new opportunities—and show that they’re listening to those who say that climate change is the second biggest threat to global wellbeing behind the infectious disease.

Regeneration goes beyond sustainability, to actively restoring and nurturing, creating conditions where ecosystems, economies and people can flourish.
