Europe’s fastest-growing community of entrepreneurial women
Founded in 2016, Female Founders has become the leading ecosystem for entrepreneurial women. This is a community of women committed to lifting other women up through building connections, sharing skills and knowledge and empowering individuals to reach their goals.

This is done through facilitating events, workshops and the spread of information that are catered toward the specific challenges women face in business and building on the qualities they need to be successful.

ABOUT
Female Founders was on the lookout for a new platform and tool to grow and support their ecosystem. How can we develop a platform that allows our corporate partners to easily recruit female talent in tech?

The LTST TalentHack was aimed at providing a platform for over 250+ female digital natives (students, founders, young & experienced professionals) in the fields of IT development, business, design, and many others to come together online to solve some of the toughest challenges of industry-leading companies in the DACH region.

The LTST TalentHack was aimed at providing a playground to accelerate female talent, by providing a platform for connectivity, creativity and collaboration in the DACH Region.
METHODOLOGY
A 3-day platform was hosted in order to (1) attract female talent, (2) connect them with corporate partners, and (3) develop creative and innovative solutions for your most pressing challenges in tech.

CORPORATE CHALLENGE LEADS
Corporate partners were invited to host concrete challenges. A series of corporate innovation workshops were facilitated, to provide guidance in identifying and defining a challenge. Moreover, to build a community of challenge leads before the TalentHack.

The following challenges were hosted:
Accenture: How might we at Accenture support women to take control of their financial independence
Coinpanion: How might we inspire more women to become part of the crypto community, so we at Coinpanion can increase diversity in our customer pool to 50/50 by 2025?
AVL: How might we better understand customers’ mobility preferences so that we can help our clients create innovative automotive solutions?
Mimo: How might we convince potential learners to become developers so that they will continue to return to our app?
JOB BOARD
Moreover, a Job Board was created in order to easily communicate opportunities within the field of tech and innovation. Corporate partners were invited to share job opportunities within their organizations, and plan 1-1 connect sessions with the talents.
MENTORS & COACHES
We worked with a broad range of experts, who connected with the talents and teams to support them in the development of their ideas, business models and prototypes.

Moreover, experts were of support in the expansion of the platform, providing access to their network, and resources.
PROGRAM
A dynamic 3-day program was hosted, aimed at facilitating serendipity, connection and creativity.

DAY 1: Team Design & Challenge Exploration: was aimed at allowing talents to connect with one-another and with the challenge they aimed to work on. By the end of the day, talents needed to have found a team, connect with their challenge host, and started working on their objectives for the weekend. Team Coaches helped the teams to work towards their milestones. The milestone was the submission of a team canvas.

DAY 2: MVP & Prototype: was aimed at the development of a concrete solution to the corporate challenge. Workshops, Team Coaching sessions and Mentor sessions supported the teams in the development of a prototype. The milestone was the submission of a prototype.

DAY 3: Business Model Design & Pitching: was aimed at the finalization of the prototype, business model and the development of a pitch. The milestone was the submission of a pitch deck. Moreover, talents had to pitch their ideas to the corporate challenge hosts. One winner per challenge was chosen, with who the challenge host aimed to continue working.
See below a selection of the submitted works by the teams.
PLATFORMS
How do you make sure that all participants feel a sense of belonging and have a place to thrive together? A learning experience was realized through the utilization of several online platforms to meet participant needs.
Slack allowed synchronous communication between event hosts, startup participants, experts and mentors.  Here all event updates were communicated, including briefings, learning materials, learning tribes and event agenda.

Miro facilitated the learning board for Startup Teams. Here they were provided with a 3-step guide on how to navigate the event, define their challenges, and keep track of their progress.

Zoom was used throughout the Event to meet with the whole community together.

All platforms were mobile-friendly, and allowed an easy facilitation of communication.
